While it isn’t classified as a true rookie card because of how it was distributed, this is still Jordan’s first appearance on cardboard. The Fleer “rookie” remains the more recognizable and culturally dominant card, long treated as the Jordan grail, but the Star issue has quietly overtaken it in value thanks to its far greater scarcity. Its status is so iconic that even officially licensed reprints carry meaningful demand.
